I'm so excited I could pee

I made reservations for Disney this weekend. I've never been. Yeah yeah, I'm 41. Silas and I are going for Christmas.
I have absolutely NO idea what to expect.
We're staying at the Hilton inside Disney World (whatever that means).
Anyone have tips? I wonder how warm/cold it is there. I don't know what to pack.

I'm so excited though, I mean, 'crazy' excited.

What a great weekend! (Tony didn't win, but he's still 'winning') Posted by Picasa

I adore my husband. He's so reliable, so responsible, so stubborn, and driven. I wish I would have met him many many years ago. He doesn't read my blog (he doesn't have time **rolleyes**), but he knows how very much he is appreciated and loved. Posted by Picasa

Rain Rain, go away.

Enough!! My driveway is becoming a river and I'm afraid it will wash away. The woods are flooding...the streams and brooks are raging. I'm sick of feeling soggy!

Just for the record... (Amy)...the Beatles were a BIT before my time. Mom had some Beatles on vinyl. *I* had the White Album. The reason I had the White Album is because I wanted to hear the songs that inspired Charles Manson to be the monster that he was. The reason that I was interested in Charles Manson is because my parents had the book "Helter Skelter" and I was told, "we don't want you to read this book!" Of course, what's a young kid to do? Read it of course!

Thursday Blues

Ugh. It's the whoremoanal time of the month. I was stupid stupid stupid and watched "The Notebook" last night. That was one of the biggest movie mistakes I've ever made. I cried and cried and cursed that movie when I was done watching it. The depression of it all has carried over into today and I HATE it. Add to that, I'll only see hubster for a few hours Saturday night- Sunday morning, and then he's off again.

Tell me some jokes and help me come out of this!!

I should mind my own business

Maybe it's just me, but I find that when I dislike someone, I am even MORE interested in what's going on with them. For instance, if they have a blog, I have to check it every day, just so I can roll my eyes. I'm going to burn in hell.

I had a great weekend in Vermont and find it hard to get into the swing of the holiday season. Make it go away. Posted by Picasa

At the end of my morning walk this morning I stumble upon this. Why is this necessary? Why would a mushroom grow like this? I've named him Peter. *snort* Posted by Picasa

Isn't she lovely

I took my daughter to get her senior pictures taken. We met the photographer at the Big Lake. I was watching my daughter get her picture taken and was overcome......she is simply gorgeous. In normal day to day life she wears sweatshirts, a pony tail, tshirts...tonight she actually had a blouse on, her hair down and beautiful, a tiny touch of eyeliner. She amazes me sometimes. I told her how beautiful she is and she said 'no'. If only she could see what I see.

Crickets in the hiz-house

Reading my sister's blog today reminded me of something....crickets. Hubster and I love the sound of crickets. Hubster even brings crickets inside the house so they won't die when the frost comes. I'm not a huge proponent of bringing them inside, but they don't scare me or bother me, so I let it go. My daughter, however, has a different opinion.
I hadn't told her that there were actual crickets INSIDE the house. I didn't know she was a brutal murderer either.
One morning, not too long ago, she came downstairs...

"Mom, did you know there was a cricket in the house?"

"Why yes, 'hubster' brought it in, he loves them and doesn't want them to die."

"It was bugging the crap out of me last night, it would chirp and be in perfect beat, and then it would skip a chirp and I couldn't get to sleep because it was so annoying. So, I came downstairs and it took me forever, but I hunted it down and killed it. "

"You what??! Don't kill crickets, they are good insects! They eat the bad bugs! They make nice sounds!"

"Well, it's dead."

No heart in that girl.
Needless to say, Hubster was crushed and then pissed. He brought many more crickets in the house...she'll never find them all!!!

Can you believe I picked all of the veggies in the garden and we never did have a frost? It figures. I can't believe how nice the weather has been. It's going to get cold, just in time for this weekend...I'm driving to Vermont for a girl's weekend getaway.

Hubster's in Scotland this week, so it's just me, the daughter and Jethro. Jethro is a HUGE bed hog! I had to shove him over last night, he was laying ON TOP of me. 150 LBS of love. :)
