Here's some progress! My hood has been installed. (Yes, we realize it's 1/4" off). And the pattern of the slate floor. We'll be installing the slate this weekend! 

The second day of NASCAR was great!! Freaking hot, yes....blisters on my feet, yes. I must say that those water spray bottles with fans on them are the best!!

I want to take Ryan Newman over my knee and give him a big spanking. He knocked Tony out of the chase and in doing so, knocked himself further out. What an idiot. When this happened, the Tony-haters all rose to their feet and cheered. I was fuming!!! So...just a couple laps after that, my boy Michael Waltrip knocked Ryan out of the race....I caught myself in this chant, with my arm pumping the air (think gangster) saying, "How do you like it now, bitch?" over and over and over....when I finally came out of that I was all giddy because I realized I had just got caught up in an emotion that I didn't have control over. But I needed that payback, seeing I couldn't go down on the track and spank Ryan.

So, today is my birthday, I'm just going to hang out and relax, eat take-out food and try to stay cool.

So Day 1 of Nascar was SOOO much fun. It was hotter than hell, but we managed.

I must say it's very difficult to be around Jeff Gordon fans. I can't believe how many people were sporting his gear. And it's child abuse to dress your small children up in his gear when they surely don't know anything about the guy and aren't able to form their own opinions. Jeff Gordon fans are the equivalent of Yankee Fans (get it Amy?) They are loud and obnoxious and extremely pompous.

Off for Day 2.

My boys are all in the State of New Hampshire!!! I'm going to go see them tomorrow and Sunday!! Tomorrow will be my first Busch race as well as the Whelan Modified. It will be nice to see an open wheel race. Tony is going to be in that race as well as the Cup on Sunday.
It's suppose to be in the 90's and sunny both days, which I HATE, but I'll have lots of water and beer to drink!! Thank goodness they allow everyone to bring in a cooler filled with beer :)

Birthday month and other news

So, we've entered my favorite time of year, my birthday month. I will be 29 once again!

The weekend before my birthday will be all about NASCAR!!! Hey, shut up, I haven't talked about my boys in a very long time. The 15th is Qualifying, Whelen Modified and Busch and the 16th is the CUP race!!! I'm so very excited and hope I get to actually see and touch my favorite guys.

In other news, my studio is starting to come around. Yesterday we finished the wiring and the exhaust fan. I should be able to start the torch up soon. The studio won't be finished with the drywall and all that for a while. I do have some sweet slate tiles for the floor, at least the part where I'll be at the torch....so if any hot glass falls on the floor we won't have to worry about the place burning down. I am ready to melt some glass!!!
