Here it is...this is today's pickings. Posted by Picasa
I love the changing weather...autumn is a great season. But this EXACT time of year also makes me stressed out. It's do or die with the garden. Anticipating the first frost really sucks. I have hundreds of peppers and tomatoes to pick. If I don't pick them, a hard frost will kill them. We MIGHT get a frost tonight...MIGHT being the key word. So...I have a choice to make...pick everything today and all is well, or risk it and risk losing the fruits of our labor. So...it looks like I'll be skipping kickboxing and picking hundreds of peppers and tomatoes. This morning I picked 3 pepper plants and got an entire bucket full. Only 67 more plants to go. It's a good thing we scaled down on tomatoes this year, I only have 18 plants to pick. Anyone want to guess what I'll be doing for most of the weekend?

What's wrong with this picture? And WHO THE BLEEP is responsible? I'll tell you who....Killer. Killer, the guy at kickboxing... I warned him before class to take it easy, did he? NO. I was holding the bag for him and he punched it SO EFFING hard and I couldn't hang on to it great, so my nail ripped right off. I got in his face and showed him his work. What did he say?? "oops" OOOPS??!! WTF?! Oops is if I shove my foot up your ass buddy.  Posted by Picasa

Redneck with style

I was just talking to Hubster on the phone. He's in NYC today and said he walked past a Tod's store. You may not know this, but I am in LOVE with Tod's handbags (I have 2 so far, but I'm going for one per season, per year). I told him to memorize the location of the store because when I go out there I'm going shopping.

I know, it seems that Tod's bags and NASCAR don't really go hand in hand....but I don't bring my bags to the race.

I'm obsessed, it's a sickness, I can't help myself.

ok, so the race that I went to on Sunday is being replayed today at 3 PM on the Speed Channel. I'm running home just before three to make sure my VCR (I know, I don't have tivo yet) turns on to tape it.

I didn't plan on getting it this bad, I really didn't.

I know this isn't the most flattering picture, as I look baked and my chins are out there saying 'hi'...but I thought I'd post it anyway...seeing some of you peeps didn't seem to like my NASCAR pictures.  Posted by Picasa

Guess where I went today....to the Sylvania 300 at NHIS. Here's Mr. Kurt Busch #97. He had a bad race, but he's still in the top ten. Posted by Picasa

Exclusion isn't always bad

I was reading my sister's latest blog entry and it made me think about my exclusion from some family events. It use to really hurt my feelings, but as I've gotten older I realize that it's just weird. As busy as my life gets I don't always have the bandwidth to do the things I want to do, let alone the things I DON'T want to do, so exclusion isn't always a bad thing.

Why bother doing something if you're going to do it half-assed?
I know I've been guilty of starting many things and not finishing them, but when I'm actually participating in something and paying money to do it, then I'm giving it my all.
We have some new 'ladies' at kickboxing and they are just NOT even trying. Tippy toeing around, not using any kind of 'umph' when they punch or kick. I'd say they punch and kick like a girl, but I hate that phrase. But you know what I mean, right?
I don't understand what they could possibly be getting out of it. I wish this was 'none of my business' but it is because I had to team up with one of them. I wanted to take her pulse to make sure she was actually alive. When it was my turn to kick and punch, I let her have it....I'm aggressive like that. :D

Goodies from Scotland! The shortbread is out of this world, but very rich. The Florentines are to kill for. The Ham boullion is very tasty, great for soups. Posted by Picasa

Go go power ranger!

I was AWESOME tonight, if I do say so myself! Crescent kick here, upper cut there, I was unstoppable! Ok, so we didn't do any jumping hop kicks, which would have KILLED me. But I kicked some major bootie and I feel great!
Thanks for letting me gloat, I've been feeling like crap for far too long.

Stopping the slug

Ok, I was a fat slug for the entire month of August. There were no kickboxing classes, so I guess I used that as an excuse to be a lazy ass. I did do some physical labor around the house, but nothing that compares to the workout of kickboxing. So tonight, my slug daughter and I are going to our first kickboxing class in over a month. You might as well just kill me now.

Ugh, I've been sick for over a week. I went to the hospital on Monday to have some tests done. I'm going to live, but it's been horrible. I'm back at work today but feeling very weak.
Send me some love.
