I forgot to post for my anniversary. 2 years ago this month hubster and I finally tied the knot in Vegas.

Ramblings on letting go

A woman I work with and LOVE dearly lost her 23 year old son on Thursday night. He was riding his bicycle and was hit and killed by a 74 year old woman driving a van. My heart breaks for her. She is one of those people that light up a room when they enter it.
You never know when you've seen your loved ones for the last time.
Hubster left for NY this morning. I didn't want to let him go. I also don't want him to get on a plane for Scotland tomorrow night. I guess I have to trust that he'll be safe. I make sure that when we're together he knows how very much I love him. Just like I know how much he loves me.

New York, New York

Hubster will be working in the heart of NYC. I'm not at all familiar with NYC, so I'm pretty excited!! There's no culture here in New Hampshire, I'm sure I'll be shocked. I don't want to look like a tourist though, with the gaping mouth and the camera around my neck. Those of you familiar with the city, tell me about it!!

First Tokyo, now Scotland....

So, hubster heads to Scotland next week for a few days of briefing about his new client. I'm insanely jealous, but can't take the time off because the new owners of the business where I work will be taking over.

Sooo.....what gifts do I need him to bring me back from Scotland? I must go research that. ;)

So, Joey called my Italianelle peppers Martian Condoms, so....what are these Hungarian Hot Wax peppers going to be called? Hung good? ;)

This is what we've named our 'Lazy Spider'. He/she has decided to build a web in my Portulaca. Nice.

We have decided to bring up more wood from our woodlot to split and put into the shed. This is us driving the truck through the yard to get to the woodlot/field.

It's a new day......finally exhaling feels great.

Dinosaurs on the Ark.

First, disclaimer....this may offend religious (believe every word of the Old Testament) peeps, so please stop reading now.


I saw on the news tonight that some people are claiming that Noah took the dinosaurs on the ark. Ummm...ok. So, in addition to EVERY animal on earth (and a pair of each animal at that) he also had every dinosaur. I SO wanna see that. We all know that the dinosaurs couldn't be handled on Jurassic Park, how on EARTH could Noah and his wife and all their kids handle all those dinosaurs?? Ponder and get back to me, k?

Dragonfly girl

This beautiful dragonfly was on my bedroom ceiling this morning. I rescued it. (And I didn't screech like a little girl *cough*J*cough*.

The suspense is killing me!

Hubster's been interviewing like crazy and on Friday had the BIG interview. He's still interviewing with other companies too, but the BIG one is the one that is preferable. He's suppose to hear 'the beginning of this week' (and we all know that often translates to 'maybe next week'). Luckily I'm not a nail biter.

The sunflowers are starting to open. They have such happy faces :) 

Si, Rhiannon, Bex and I went on the Tilt O'Whirl tonight. It is my favorite ride. I was squealing like a little girl!

Martian condoms growing

Thanks to a blog buddy, I have been lovingly calling my Italianelle peppers Martian condoms. They're growing nicely. Some are 1" (poor bastards) and some are an impressive 8"! The question is, how will it be to bite into one?
